Raouf BOUCEKKINEAix-Marseille University, AMSE and Rennes School of Business

Raouf Boucekkine is Professor of economics at Aix-Marseille University (on leave) and Rennes School of Business. He has held positions at UCL Louvain, Carlos III Madrid, and Glasgow University. He was elected as a fellow of the Econometric Society in 2020 and is an honorary senior fellow of the Institut Universitaire de France, being nominated a senior member in 2014. He was director of the Institute for Advanced Study of Aix-Marseille from 2015 to 2020 and has been member of boards and scientific councils of the World Pandemic Research Network, Association of Southern European Economic Theorists (where he was president), and the Institute for Research in Development, among others.

His research interests span growth and development, political economy, mathematical methods in economics and demography and operation research. Raouf has published approximately 115 papers and has co-edited two books. Three quarters have been published in economics, and the rest being published in applied mathematics, demography, and interdisciplinary. He is the associate editor of several international journals, including the Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, Journal of Mathematical Economics, and Macroeconomic Dynamics. His papers have been published in top general-interest and field journals in economics: American Economic Review, European Economic Review, Journal of the European Economic Association, Journal of Mathematical Economics and Journal of Economic Growth, among others. Raouf obtained his Ph.D. in Economics in 1993 from the Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne.
